2010 Legislative Session Begins Today
Today at 12:00 p.m., the South Carolina Senate and House of Representatives will convene to begin its 2010 legislative session. As we begin the second part of the 118th session, I ask you to pray for the state’s leaders, as we steer our state through these very difficult times.
As your elected state senator, I serve to represent your thoughts, concerns and ideas. I depend on hearing from you.
Throughout the past months, I have received phone calls, emails, letters and messages suggesting legislative proposals. And a main issue I have heard the most about is our state’s financial well being.
One issue of extreme importance, of which I will be sponsoring legislation, is our ability to save more money for future difficult times.
While we will be debating this and many other important ideas, I ask you to participate in the legislative process. You can write, phone or email me through my website, www.senatorleatherman.com. You can also leave feedback, through Facebook and Twitter, as I will be posting legislative updates.
If you wish to view the Senate while in session, please visit www.scstatehouse.gov and follow the “Live Broadcasts” under the Senate tab.
Please make sure to pass this message along to any of your family or friends. Once again, if I can ever be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
